Humansdorp Cluster Commander has welcomed the two year sentence imposed on a man (32) who was convicted of housebreaking and theft in the Storms River Magistrates’ Court on 18 June 2019.

Brigadier John Lebok welcomed the sentence imposed by the Magistrate Jakobus Richter on Christo Goeda (32) for breaking and stealing inside a police station in Storms River on 23 May 2019. “I believe that this sentence is going to serve as deterrent to anyone, who may attempt to commit a similar incident”, added Brig Lebok.

Goeda pleaded guilty after the police caught him red-handed inside one of the administration block offices at the police station premises busy stealing (disconnecting) a computer. Police also recovered two memory sticks inside one of his pants pockets that belonged to one of the station’s employees.
