In a Crime Intelligence driven operation conducted by members attached to K9 Unit, Flying Squad, a suspect (26) was arrested at Liefeldt Location outside King Williams Town at about 22h30.
The arrest follows after Police were tracing suspects following a Business Robbery that occurred around King Williams Town in the beginning of this month. Police went to all the houses that were identified and in one of those houses they found a male. Upon searching him they recovered fifteen (15) small bags of TIK and one half and three quarters of mandrax tablets. The drugs were subsequently seized by police.
The suspect was immediately arrested and charged for Possession of drugs (mandrax and TIK). The arrested suspect will appear at Dimbaza Magistrate’s court.
King William’s Town SAPS Cluster Commander Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga said Police are committed in fighting crime and are out in full force tracking down the perpetrators of crime. We will keep on doing operations and ensure that perpetrators are put behind bars.
