In a crime intelligence driven operation together with King Williams Town Flying Squad, K9 Unit, Ndevana Police members arrested four suspects on the afternoon of 24 May 2019.

Police followed up on information received about a house at eZintenteni in Ndevana where a firearm was being kept. On Police arrival they searched the house and recovered a pistol with seven (7) rounds of ammunition, police pepper spray and a police badge.

A 27 year old male was immediately arrested and charged for possession of unlicensed firearm (pistol) and ammunition and possession of suspected stolen property.

The suspect will appear at Zwelitsha Magistrate’s Court on Monday 27 May 2019.

King William’s Town SAPS Cluster Commander, Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga commended the members for the job well done in arresting the suspect and to ensure that he is behind bars. He also thanked the community for sharing valuable information with SAPS and encouraged them to report any criminal activities to 08600 10111.
