East London detectives arrested a suspect (35) for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, possession of stolen goods in East London on 13 July 2017.
This intelligence driven operation was carried out in Southernwood, East London. Police confiscated two (2) plasma televisions, a .38 special revolver, 27 live ammunition, cellular phone, cameras and bank cards.
The firearm was reported stolen in Alexandria, Port Alfred. We will try to link other items to our cases.
The suspect is due to appear in the East London Magistrates’ Court on charges of possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition, possession of stolen goods soon.
