East London Pop Unit together with Ngcobo detectives arrested a wanted suspect on Tuesday, 11 June 2019. It is alleged that a 25 year old suspect killed a soldier during 2018 and also killed a scholar in Ngcobo this year.
Two cases were opened at Ngcobo. Police received information and proceeded to Railway residence. The suspect was arrested and a 9mm pistol with live ammunition and R5 magazine were found in his possession.
The suspect is also implicated in another murder case at Butterworth. The suspect was detained for possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition and will appear before Ngcobo Magistrate’s Court soon.
