The Nelson Mandela Bay District Detective Intervention Task Team has arrested a 23-year-old woman for the murder of Nolwandle Hlahlatyi (35).
Hlahlatyi was found dead in her shack in Boesak Street, Govan Mbeki, Kwadwesi, on the morning of Thursday, 11 December 2025. Police were alerted at approximately 06:15.
The deceased’s brother reported hearing a gunshot from the shack at around 22:00 on Wednesday, 10 December 2025. Upon investigation the next morning, the family found Hlahlatyi with multiple gunshot wounds.
Following an investigation, the suspect was arrested on Thursday, 18 December 2025. She faces charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
The suspect will appear in the New Brighton Magistrate’s Court today, 19 December 2025.
