A 27 year old man from Mncuncuzo A/A was arrested for brutally killing two grade 12 learners on the night of 31 January 2019.

It is alleged that the two girls between 17 and 18 years were at their Homestead while suspect entered and had an argument with one of them claiming to be his girlfriend. He started to stab her several times and she died on the scene.

The other girl tried to intervene and she was also stabbed but managed to run to a nearby house for assistance. On arrival of the police she also passed away.

Both girls are schooling at Mncuncuzo High School. A case of double murder was opened and suspect was arrested and will appear before Cofimvaba Magistrates’ Court on Monday 4 February 2019.

The Cluster Commander Brigadier Mirriam Nkombisa condemns this heinous killing of women and also commended the quick arrest by the members.
