The continuous efforts of police to curb the increase in stock theft is yielding the desired results in Burgersdorp.
It is alleged that on 25 November 2023, SAPS Burgersdorp received positive information about sheep that is kept in an old dam on a farm close to Burgersdorp Township. The information was operationalised and with the assistance of the Station Commander and Aliwal Stock Theft Unit, 12 sheep were found inside an old dam.
The sheep was positively identified as stolen from a farm a week ago.
