Mt Fletcher police received information about someone selling sheep at Maclear at R500 each, kept inside a locked house.

Mt Fletcher OCC responded and immediately proceeded to the said house and recovered 30 sheep inside the house. Three suspects were subsequently arrested.

All thirty sheep belong to a farmer of Maclear, who was not even aware that his sheep were stolen at the time, were recovered. A case of Stock Theft and possession of stolen livestock were registered at Maclear Police Station and the three male suspects are expected to appear in court soon facing the stock theft and related charges.

The owner of the stock applauded Mount Fletcher Cluster members for the swift recovery and arrest.

Mt Fletcher Cluster Commander, Brigadier Majikijela applauded the OCC members for swift police action that ultimately led to the recovery of livestock and arrests.

She encouraged the public to work closely with the police in the fight against crime. “When we work together we achieve more results faster, “added Brig Majikijela.
