On Saturday 18 January 2020, an operation was conducted by Alice Crime Intelligence Unit and Fort Beaufort Stock Theft Unit after information was received about eight sheep that were stolen at Seymour.

The members followed up on the information received and managed to recover the slaughtered remains of six of the stolen sheep (estimated value is R9600.00). Two sheep are still unaccounted for and police investigation continues.

Two male suspects aged between 27 and 29 were arrested and charged for stock theft and are expected to appear before the Seymour Magistrate’s Court today, 20 January 2020.
