Police in Mthatha are looking for killers of a 75 year old woman who was murdered at her home at Mpozolweni Locality Xhongora Administration Area near Mthatha during the night of Saturday 23 July.
The elderly woman stayed alone at her home.
The motive for the killing is not known at this stage and no arrests have been made.
A murder docket was opened at Bityi Police Station.
The Cluster Commander for Mthatha, Maj Gen Sizakhele Dyantyi strongly condemned the senseless killings of the elderly women in the Cluster and vowed that police will leave no stone unturned to make sure that those involved are put behind bars.
