On 19 February 2020, a combined operation between Aliwal North SAPS Crime Intelligence Unit and K9 Unit resulted in the arrest of four suspects. Four suspects aged 30, 27, 22 and 21 were arrested for theft out of motor vehicle.
Information was followed up after they attempted to sell the liquor they have stolen out of the vehicle at Dukathole location.
The 12 bottles of liquor, with a value of R600.00, was confiscated.
Motor vehicle owners are urged to practise safety when leaving valuables in their vehicles. Do not leave valuables in plain sight in your vehicle. Make sure that your vehicle is indeed, locked.
The acting Cluster Commander Col Chris Wright commended the members on the good arrest that will have a positive impact in town.
