As part of Operation Fiela II in claiming space from the criminals King Williams Town Cluster Police members embarked in an operation in tracing suspects and for crime prevention duties in ensuring the safety and secure environment for our citizens.

Police were also on foot patrol doing stop and search in the areas and they managed to arrest more than fifty five suspects aged between 23 and 56 years for crimes ranging from fraud, assault, drunkenness, theft out of motor vehicle, business robbery, possession of stolen property, Common Robbery and Malicious damage to property.

When Police were busy with stop and search they managed to arrest suspects with dagga in their possession. Three suspects were arrested for drunken driving with the assistance of Traffics.

These suspects appeared in different Magistrate courts.

The Cluster Commander of King Williams Town Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga thanked the members for the job well done in tracing the suspects. He also warned members of the community not to buy stolen items as this also equals to aiding and being part of the crime committed. He also encouraged the community members to report the criminals and/or criminal activities to the police on Crime Stop 08600 10111, Crime Line 32211 or the nearest police station.
