SAPS Mount Road detectives are investigating a culpable homicide case after a 25-year-old man died in a motor vehicle accident on the N2, Cotswold today.
It is reported that at approximately 08:05, this morning, police responded to a complaint of an accident involving three vehicles and a horse and trailer truck. On arrival they were informed, that a Toyota Scarlett was traveling on the N2 in the direction of Cape Town when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle and collided with a Toyota Hilux who then collided into a Mercedes truck. The driver (25) of the Scarlett succumbed to his injuries on the scene, while the driver and the passenger of the Toyota Hilux was transported to hospital for medical treatment. The driver of the truck did not sustain injuries.
A case of culpable homicide is under investigation.
