SAPS arrest 54 suspects in King Williams Town

King Williams Town: Over the past weekend high police visibility patrols in the Central Business area and in other areas within the King William’s Town Cluster policing area yielded success.

Police were also on foot patrol doing stop and searches in the areas during which members managed to arrest more than fifty four (54) suspects aged between 24 and 58 years for crimes ranging from drunkenness, possession of stolen property, Common Robbery, Theft, Possession of drugs, driving under the influence of alcohol, Common Assault and Malicious damage to property.

These suspects will appear at the various Magistrate’s Courts today and tomorrow.

King William’s Town Cluster Commander, Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga, said Police are committed in fighting crime and are out in full force tracking down the perpetrators of crime. We will keep on doing stop and searches and roadblocks to prevent crime in our area. He also thanked the community for sharing valuable information with SAPS and encouraged them to report any criminal activities to Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
