On 16 February 2017 Kwadwesi Crime Prevention Unit members acted on a tip-off about police uniforms at a house in Mbaba street in Kwadwesi. It was established that no SAPS officers resides at the address.
The house was searched and police uniform including Constable insignia was found in one room. Police also confiscated a rifle and 232 rounds of live ammunition.
One plasma TV, handcuffs, fake international passports, fake South African IDs and coins with foreign currency were found in another room.
