Mbhashe Local Municipality Law Enforcement officers, Butterworth Crime Intelligence Unit members and Butterworth Cluster Police OCC Unit members arrested two men aged 26 and 31 respectively. Both suspects were arrested at Gwadana Village, Dutywa on Wednesday, 7 November 2018 at about 21h00.

The two suspects were found with unlicensed firearms and nine rounds of ammunition. The arrests came as a result of police intelligence. Both suspects will appear before the Dutywa Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 8 November 2018.

The firearms will be subjected to ballistic tests to establish if it were used in the commission of any crimes around Dutywa and the surrounding areas.
