The Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit in Graaff Reinet is seeking the community’s assistance in tracing two (2) rape suspects.
It is alleged that the two suspects were involved in the rape of a 12-year-old child in Umasizakhe, in December 2020. The suspects had allegedly forced the victim into the bushes near Tjoksville, Umasizakhe, Graaff Reinet and raped her.
The first suspect, had a scar under his right eye and was wearing a light brown jacket at the time of rape. The second suspect was short, chubby built, wearing dark a t-shirt and a black beanie.
One of the suspects was in possession of a boom box.
Police are appealing to anyone who may recognize the suspects from the facial identification or may have any information that can lead to the successful arrest of the suspect/s behind this heinous to contact the Investigating Officer Sergeant Valomia Abrahams on 049 807 6207, 066 239 6153.
