It is alleged that during early hours between 03:00 and 4:00 two brothers between 35 and 45 years were sleeping at their Homestead at Dapu Administrative Area, when three unknown men entered and assaulted them.
One of the brother is a Prison Warder working at Lady Frere. After they tied them with ropes they were forced into the car. Suspects drove off to Cala direction.
When they approached Cala they stabbed the Prison Warder to death and assaulted his brother and dumped them in an open veld. The one who survived managed to reach the community seeking for assistance and was taken to Hospital.
A case of murder and kidnapping was opened and the vehicle was found near Umtata. Police are appealing to anyone who can assist to arrest with the information can please contact Detective Captain Mzwanele Msengana at 0825292441 or 0860010111.
