SARAH BAARTMAN DISTRICT – SAPS Humansdorp detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing the next of kin of a man who collapsed in Main Road on 04 August 2023 and passed away in hospital on 07 August 2023.
It is alleged that at about 10:00 on 04 August 2023, the man, who is reportedly homeless, was drinking alcohol when he collapsed. He passed away as a result of head injuries. Locals in the area know him as “Abie Van Zyl.’
An inquest docket is opened for investigation.
Police are appealing to anyone who can assist in tracing the deceased next of kin to contact SAPS Humansdorp Detective Warrant Officer Zuan Nepgen on 081 234 7783 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.
