PORT ELIZABETH – The Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offence Unit in Port Elizabeth is seeking the community’s assistance in tracing a 16-year-old teenager who went missing on Saturday, 03 October 2020.

It is alleged that on the mentioned date at about 12:50, Verushka Chante Nel left her house in Kelly Street in North End with two friends. They walked to the Pier 14 mall. According to her friends, Nel separated from them and they didn’t see her again. At about 13:30 they went back to her house and informed her mother.

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a brown fur pleather jacket, gold leather pants, a black lace top and black heels. According to preliminary investigation, there may be a possibility that Nel could be in Gauteng.

Police are appealing to anyone who can assist in locating Verushka Nel to urgently contact D/Sgt Rodney Mtongana from PE FCS unit on 071 352 5211 or 041 4013000 or Crime Stop 08600 10111 or their nearest police station.
