GQEBERHA – SAPS Mount Road detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in identifying a decomposed body found in a drain on Thursday, 03 August 2023.
It is alleged that at about 11:50, workers were busy with electrical installations in Paterson Road in North End when a worker noticed the body inside the drain located next to the road. Police was contacted and the body retrieved. The deceased is a male however due to the advanced decomposition, his race and age could not be determined.
An inquest docket is opened for investigation.
Police are appealing to anyone who can assist in identifying the deceased or may know of any person who may be missing, to contact SAPS Mount Road on 041 394 6316/6243 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.
