The Provincial Commissioner of the Eastern Cape, Lieutenant General Liziwe Ntshinga has strongly condemned the senseless killing of a 15 year old teenager that was found murdered in Kwadwesi this weekend. “Such brutal violence against our children in our communities is a concern and need to be addressed with urgency and the communities’ role cannot be overemphasised.”
KwaDwesi Detectives are seeking community assistance in solving a murder of a minor. It is alleged that the body of a 15 year old girl was discovered by patrolling police members in Lamani Street, Izinyoka, Kwadwesi on Sunday 17 February 2019, at about 08:00.
There is no indication yet of what the motive for his murder was and Kwadwesi detectives will not speculate. Anyone who can assist the police with information that could assist them with this investigation can contact Constable Siethumi Mahamo at 041 405 4724.
Lt Gen Ntshinga added that “The protection of our children is everyone’s responsibility and we, as the police, urge the community to work with us in ensuring that our future leaders are protected from these ruthless criminals.”
