On 8 July 2017 in line with our Back to Basics policing approach, special attention is given to illegal firearms and drugs.
This paid off when Sgt Schoeman and Cst Mngezana of Aliwal North K9 followed up on information received and arrested two suspects age 72 and 34 for illegal possession of dagga. A total of 40 parcels were confiscated with a value of R 838.00 and a weight of 0,838 kg.
The suspects will appear in court on 11 July 2017.
The Cluster Commander Brig Xakavu thanked the members for their efforts and indicated that no matter how big or small the amount of drugs confiscated is, it remains a setback to those involved in the buying and selling of drugs. We will continue to provide effective and responsive policing to our communities by taking drugs of the street.
