The cooperation between SAPS Paterson and game rangers led to the arrest of two men and the recovery of six tower batteries that were allegedly stolen from a Vodacom tower in one of the game reserves in Paterson on 17 august 2021.

At about 06:15, it is alleged that police received a complaint of theft in progress from a private game reserve that is situated in Paterson near the N2.

Swift police reaction and game rangers led to the arrest of two men in possession of six tower batteries that were allegedly stolen from a Vodacom tower.

It is also said that, at the scene, a white VW Polo with at least three occupants sped away.

The two suspects aged 22 and 23 are due to appear in court soon on charges relating to the contravention of the Criminal Matters Amendment Act 18 of 2015.
