In order to prevent and combat crime that may threaten the safety and security of community members, police officials from the Uitenhage Cluster performed their duties in line with the Back to Basics approach. Members continued to clamp down on criminal activities over the past weekend, Friday, 23 June 2017 until Monday, 26 June 2017 and it resulted in the arrest of a total of 108 suspects on various charges.
The South African Police Service wants to encourage the community to work with the SAPS in reducing crime and they appeal to the community to provide valuable information that will lead to the arrest of suspects.
