Residents nabbed one of the five house robbery suspects after they hit a house in KwaNobuhle last night, 31 October 2018.

On Wednesday, 31 October 2018 at about 21:30, it is alleged that five men, one armed with a firearm and others had knives with the last armed with a pepper spray entered a house through an unlocked door in Mgwari Street, KwaNobuhle.

The six house occupants were held at gunpoint, and forced to lie on the floor. During the incident two occupants were sprayed with a pepper spray.

Suspects demanded cell phones and cash and made off with 5 cellphones and undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene on foot. Victims immediately summoned the neighbours for assistance and residents also joined in the chase.

One of the suspects was arrested. A 35 year old man is due to appear on Friday, 2 November 2018 at KwaNobuhle Magistrate’s Court on charges of house robbery.
