Almost five years later, justice was finally meted out to two murder accused for the fatal stabbing of a 45-year-old Humansdorp man in July 2018.

On 15 July 2018 at about 09:10, Joey Williams was stabbed multiple times at the Old Caravan Park in Humansdorp.

Two days later, three suspects were arrested in the vicinity and charged for murder. As the investigation unfolded, one suspect was released.

On Wednesday, 22 March 2022, Vivian Hendricks (32) and Keanen Stefaans(27) were convicted in the Humansdorp Regional court for murder and each sentenced to 20 years imprisonment.

The motive is suspected to be robbery.

Sarah Baartman District Commissioner, Maj Gen Zolani Xawuka commended the investigating team for ensuring a lengthy sentence against both accused.
