Murder investigation after shack burns down, Somerset East
Murder investigation after shack burns down, Somerset East

Police are investigating the murder of 58 year old Amos Spotger, after he succumbed to injuries in the Andries Vosloo hospital, Somerset East, after sustaining burn wounds to his body.

At about 13:00 Somerset East Police were notified of Mr Amos Spogter who was admitted to the hospital after he had suffered 3rd degree burn wounds to his body, after the shack in which he was living in Dahlia Street, Somerset East had been burnt down.

At about 14:10 Mr Amos Spogter was declared dead by a Doctor on standby at Andries Vosloo hospital after the deceased had suffered upper and lower body burns, except to his face.

Somerset East Detectives will be investigating a murder case.

At this stage no one has been arrested for the murder.
