On Tuesday, 4 August 2020 between 08:00 and 10:00 an intelligence driven operation was conducted in conjunction with the Mount Fletcher Stock Theft Unit, Mount Fletcher Operational Command Centre and Katkop Vispol at Maladini location Katkop policing area.

Positive information about suspected stolen sheep was followed up and during the operation forty seven suspected stolen sheep were recovered abandoned by the stock thieves next to the Akhona Xhoma homestead.

At this stage no arrest is made but the investigation continues. The complainant will be requested to positively identify his stock.

The acting District Commissioner Brigadier Rudulph Adolph commended the members for recovering the sheep as stock theft is perennial problem in the area.
