A 24-year-old female was arrested yesterday morning at Mount Frere for murder. The arrest comes after a 10 months old baby boy was found by the community member on Tuesday 10 August 2021, in the bushes at Komga.
Through thorough investigation by Detectives they managed to arrest his mother at Mount Frere where she is attending school. She is charged for Murder and will appear at Komga Magistrate Court on Monday 16 August 2021.
The Acting Amathole District Commissioner Brigadier Ngangema Xakavu appreciated the job done by the Detectives and the cooperation between SAPS and the community in ensuring that the mother of the child is arrested.
