East London and Mthatha divers found a body of a 21 year old man with his hands tied at the back and a bag loaded with rocks tied to his body at Tsitsa River in Tsolo today, 23 April 2018 at about 13h00.

The divers were summoned to the scene after police received an information yesterday the 22 April that there was a mob killing of two men and that they were afterwards thrown in the river at Mbokotwana A/A Gomeni locality in Tsolo.

The search for the second body will continue tomorrow. Motive for their killing is not known yet and two murder cases have been opened. “We condemn and discourage people that are continuously taking the law into their own hands. We want to warn all those involved that we will arrest them,” said Mthatha Acting Cluster Commander Brigadier Nomawethu Makonza.
