“We will never tolerate the acts of people taking the law into their own hands. Everyone has a right to life. We urge our communities to report any crime to us,” Provincial Commissioner Lt Gen Liziwe Ntshinga after two men with ages 19 and 25 were found dead with open wounds at Tyeni locality in Tsolo on 21 September 2020, at about 08:00.

It is alleged that the pair were taken from their homesteads by a group of local people who allegedly accused them of stock theft.

No arrest as yet and anyone with information may contact D/Lt Col Zwelitsha Homoyi on 0824420690 and the information will be treated with confidentiality.

“Police are doing their best in the province to combat stock theft and anyone suspected of stock theft must be apprehended and taken to police so he can be formally charged and under no circumstances should General public take law into their hands through torture or murder,” said the Provincial Commissioner.
