SAPS Kabega Park detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing an elderly woman (66) who has been missing since Thursday, 9 February 2023.

It is alleged that at about 09:00 on the mentioned date, Bernadette January walked out of the Louise Dubb Old Age home in Kabega Park.

According to police information, Ms. January may have gone to the Summerstrand area in search of her son who is a vagrant and lives on the street. It is alleged that he is usually found on the beachfront.

That was last time anyone had seen her. Ms. January is a diabetic and had not taken any medication with her.

Police have been searching the beachfront area every day since she was reported missing and there is no sign of her or her son.
