In continuous efforts to solve trio crimes in the Uitenhage Cluster, various units of the SAPS are hard at work, in an attempt to identify and trace five armed suspects who allegedly robbed a liquor store in the Main Street, Despatch at about 15:30 on the afternoon of 20 July 2017.

It is alleged that five suspects armed with firearms entered the premises and threatened the workers and forced them into an office. The suspects took cash from the tills, cellphones and liquor from the shelves and fled from the scene in a white bakkie.

No shots were fired and no one sustained any injuries.

The South African Police Service encourages the community to work with the police and to come forward with information relating to the business robbery, which can lead to the arrest and conviction of the criminals.
