It is alleged that during the early hours of 21 March 2021, at about 00:30, four males entered a shack at the backyard of a house in Flamelilly Street in Sanctor looking for a person. When the 30-year-old victim informed them that there was no such person, he was shot multiple times.

The suspects fled the scene. The deceased was identified as Gregory Banor. The motive is unknown and the incident is not gang related.

SAPS Bethelsdorp detectives are investigating a case of murder.

In another incident, a 26-year-old male was found lying in Kamma Street in Korsten with a gunshot wound to his head.

It is alleged that at about 23:30 on the night of 20 March 2021, residents heard the sound of gunfire and later found Shivago Petrus from Kamma Street, fatally wounded. At this stage, the motive and circumstances surrounding his death is unknown. The suspect/s are also unknown.

A case of murder is under investigation.
