A 44 year old man was allegedly shot several times while standing outside his building on 12 March 2019. According to police information, at about 11:45, the victim was standing talking to someone at the corners of Elizabeth and Govan Mbeki Avenue in North End, PE.
An unknown male approached him and fired several shots at him. The male then got into a white Nissan bakkie (no canopy) further down the road and drove off. The injured person was taken to hospital by private transport.
The motive for the shooting is not yet known and police are investigating a case of attempted murder.
