SAPS Kamesh detectives are searching for a suspect who allegedly shot and killed one person and injured another in Kamesh on the night of 10 November 2020.

It is alleged that at about 20:00, police attended a complaint of shooting at a house in Hawfinch Street, Rosedale. According to information received, Jonathan Williams (24) and a 19-year-old teenager were seated in a car in the driveway listening to music. Shots were heard and the owner of the house ran outside.

He found the 19 year old lying on the floor in the shack at the back yard. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Williams was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds on the passenger seat. Approximately three males were seen running away from the car. Suspects are unknown at this stage.

A case of murder and attempted murder is under investigation.

Police are urging the community not to harbour criminals instead to report them.
