A farmer named Hannes and his son were attacked by three suspects when they exited their house situated in the Aberdeen district on Friday, March 31.
Hannes and his son went outside around 06H15 to investigate a disturbance in the barn and met with an unfortunate encounter. One of the suspects shot Hannes and assaulted his son.
The suspects fled with firearms and other valuable household goods.
Shortly afterward, the police and community security were notified and responded swiftly.
Hannes and his son were transferred to hospital for treatment. Hannes will remain in hospital, and his son was treated and discharged.
The police are busy investigating the incident and searching for the suspects who apparently fled on foot.
