In their initiatives to rid the communities we serve of the scourge of drugs and manifestations East London K9 unit members arrested a suspect for possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R105 000, in Selborne today.

Police followed information and searched the premises. They confiscated cocaine, rock and crystal methamphetamine.

The 42 year old suspect was allegedly arrested at his Osborne street home by K9 police with 38g of cocaine, 3g of rock and 5.605kg of crystal methamphetamine.

The drugs had a combined estimated street value of R105 000. Police also seized two cell phones. The suspect is due to appear in the East London Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of possession of drugs.

K9 unit Commander, Lt Colonel Phillip Yose commended his members for a job well done. “We would like to thank the members of the public for continuing to entrust us with this huge responsibility of fighting crime. Our partnership is growing from strength to strength. We are determined to fight crime together,” he said.
