A 46 year old man was found dead with upper body injuries at Ndibela A/A in Bityi on 2 August 2018 at about 07h00. It is alleged that neighbours saw smoke and fire coming from the house where the deceased was staying alone and the neighbours managed to stop the fire and alerted police.
The deceased body was found inside the house with multiple stab wounds.
During a thorough investigation by Bityi Detectives, a 23 year old suspect was arrested. He will appear before Mthatha Magistrate Court on 3 August 2018 facing charges of murder and arson.
The Acting Cluster Commander Brigadier Nomawethu Makonza applauded these members and said “It is through your dedication and working together with the communities that you made this swift arrest. Let’s work hard in bringing back our dignity.”
