A 30 year Schauderville man is in police custody after a stolen vehicle was found in his garage early this morning.
It is alleged that the Nelson Mandela Bay District Detective officer, D/Col Paul Oranje received information about the suspected stolen vehicle late on the night of 11 August 2021.
The information was operationalised and at about 04:45 on 12 august 2021, D/Col Oranje and his team breached the house. A black Hyundai i30 was found parked in the garage.
The vehicle was reportedly taken in a house robbery which took place in Kabega Park last week.
The suspect is detained on a charge of possession of suspected stolen property and is expected to appear in the Gqeberha magistrate’s court soon.
