Libode police are searching for two unknown gunmen that shot and killed a 50 year old man at Zwelitsha locality Corhana A/A on 31 January 2020, at about 19:00.
It is alleged that the deceased was arriving at his residence when the two suspects approached him. One suspect opened fire at the deceased’s vehicle killing him instantly. The suspects fled on foot afterwards and boarded a taxi to Mthatha CBD.
The deceased, who is a taxi owner, was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead. He sustained several gunshot wounds to his upper body. It is not yet clear of his affiliation and the motive for his killing is yet to be established as police investigation continues.
