Police together with traffic officials conducted Operation Fiela and arrested two suspects aged 32 and 35 years for dealing in Mandrax.
A motor vehicle with three occupants was pulled off the road by BCM, Buffalo city municipality Traffic Officials and the Police on the night of 17 February 2018, at about 22:10.
One thousand one hundred and twenty six (1126) full mandrax tablets and forty six (46) half mandrax tablets and an undisclosed amount of cash was recovered and confiscated by police.
The Isuzu Bakkie that was involved was also confiscated as an exhibit and for further investigation. A case of drunken driving was also opened against the driver.
