On Friday 15 February 2019, at about 13:35 members from Maclear SAPS were busy with crime prevention patrols in Maclear when they noticed two men carrying a heavy bag rushing towards town. On further investigation it was discovered that they stole copper wire and different types of T/shirts. They managed to arrest the two suspects’ age 32 and 26.
As they continued with their duties at 19:10 they received positive information that they followed up at Emaxhegweni Township and arrested a 34 year old female suspect for dealing in dagga.
The Cluster Commander Colonel Matshediso Gezani thanked the members for their commitment to rid our streets of crime and drugs and that resulted in the positive arrests. Keep up with the good work and continue in strengthening the hands of the stations in the Cluster.
