On Friday 29th June 2018 the Eastern Cape South African Police Service launched the Provincial Organised Crime Secretariat (POCS) at the Griffith Mxenge Hall, Provincial Head Office, Zwelitsha.
The EC POCS Launch was launched in line with the initiatives contained in the National Commissioner SAPS turnaround strategy which is intended to assert the authority of the State, to ensure thorough and responsive investigation of every crime, as well as effective crime intelligence to support proactive and reactive policing.
The strategy also makes provision for a collaborative and consultative approach to policing.
The well organised event was attended by several stakeholders including NPA, DPCI, and Asset forfeiture Unit.
