Lady Frere murders of several elderly men and women – R100k cash reward offered

The Provincial Organised Crime Investigation (OCI) are appealing for assistance from the public and are offering a cash reward of R100 000-00 for information that could lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of a/or suspect/s allegedly involved in the murder of several elderly men and women allegedly committed between December 2020 and July 2021 in the Izingqolweni locality in Lady Frere.

Most of the victims were women who lived alone.

They were all attacked at night and due to the infrastructure of the area, there are no street lights hence making it difficult for one to spot any person lurking around.

The victims were stabbed to death and the motive for the murders are yet to be established.

Intensive investigations were conducted in this locality however efforts to identify and trace the suspect/s proved futile therefore a cash reward is offered to any individual who can provide information that will lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of the suspect/s.

Anyone who may be able to assist in the investigation or may have information that will lead to the positive identification and arrest of the suspect/s is asked to contact the investigating officer, D/Capt Lungile Sigcu on 082 302 6989 or Crime Stop 08600 10111.
