A 23-year-old man was arrested for murder after he allegedly stabbed Willem Olifant (42) to death in what is believed was a confrontation at a house in Aquapark, Kirkwood on Monday, 25 October 2021.
It is said that at about 06:00 in the morning, police was summoned to a house in Eureka Street, Aquapark (Kirkwood) after an alleged confrontation at a house resulted in the death of a 42-year-old man. The lifeless body of Willem Olifant (42) was found lying on the floor with a stab wound in the upper body.
Police arrested the suspect and also seized two knives for further investigation.
The circumstances relating to the incident will form part of the murder investigation. The 23-year-old suspect is due to appear in Kirkwood Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 27 October 2021 on charges of murder.
