King Williams Town cluster crime crackdown, more than 50 arrests

As part of Operation Fiela 2 in reclaiming the space from the criminals, King Williams Town Cluster Police members embarked on tracing and crime prevention operations over the weekend of 10 August 2018, aiming to ensure a safe and secure environment for our citizens.

Police were also on foot patrols and conducted stop and searches in the areas and managed to arrest more than fifty suspects aged between 19 and 51 years for crimes ranging from dealing in drugs, assault, drunkenness, possession of dagga, possession of stolen property, contravention of protection order and Malicious damage to property.

The suspects are appearing in the various Magistrate’s Courts.

The Cluster Commander of King Williams Town, Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga thanked the members for their sterling crime fighting efforts. He also encouraged the community members to report the criminals and/or criminal activities to the police on Crime Stop 08600 10111, Crime Line 32211 or the nearest police station.
