A multidisciplinary operation was conducted by the King Williams Town Cluster together with Traffic Department, Law Enforcement, Immigration Officers and Liquor Board as part of Operation Fiela 2 on Friday, 20 July 2018.

The operation yielded good results, nine suspects were arrested for possession of tik and dagga and for undocumented persons.

Police together with the local Traffic Department also conducted a vehicle checking point where 103 vehicles were searched fines were issued to those who contravene traffic regulations. More than five hundred pamphlets were distributed during the patrols among members of the community.

Dangerous weapons and counterfeit CDs were also recovered and were confiscated by Police.

Three illegal liquor outlets were closed by Liquor Officers with the assistance of Police after it was established the owners did not comply with the Liquor Act.
